You're right I feel kind of sorry for the many people I have seen online who have installed the beta straight over the top of Snow Leopard and lost everything...

The last line isn't quite correct:
The Windows switches /3GB and /PAE will not make a difference to these limits; they affect the allocation of memory to applications within Windows only.
The switch /3GB does indeed only affect the allocation of memory to applications, but the switch /PAE does allow 32 bit Windows to access more than 4 GB of RAM using Physical Address Extensions (a hardware feature which is how OS X accesses more than 4 GB of RAM in 32 bit mode).
Microsoft has chosen not to implement PAE support in Windows XP, Windows Vista, and (I assume) Windows 7, so there is no way for those OSs to support more than 4 GB of RAM. On the other hand, Windows and 2008 R2 do support PAE, so the 32 bit versions should be able to support more than 4 GB of RAM.
To use the the /3GB switch, the application must be compiled IMAGE_FILE_LARGE_ADDRESS AWARE.
I'd edit the wiki myself, but I do not yet have edit privileges.

I bought something very similar to that. The design is the same but the holes are a little different. The bottom is one large hole, which is good since the USB cable can be plugged. I have a case like the one you linked nad it's a little difficult. Also the one you linked is from Hong Kong so it's a mighty long wait :/

The drive is cheap, $60 CAD for the Pioneer 110D 16x DVD-R drive, and enclosures are around $40-50. The Lacie drive on the other hand is $140 CAD and only 8x.
They must give a different drive then  Mine burns at 16x and DL at 6x but hell that's a great price in Can. money for you ;)

Yea, you should notice a pretty big increase in performance if you go from the x1900 to the 5770. Almost double the performance if not more I think.

Thanks. That does help. One question where is the best place to sell a old computer? (eBay, Craigslist, other?) Update to drive problem: Drive has now accepted System Disk and has moved it onto the reader. However the reader seems to need lube. It's not spinning up properly. Worse however is the fact that the disk is now stuck in the drive. Manual and force ejecting raise the disk up but don't pop it out and there seems to be some thing holding the disk in the back so I can't pull it out. The mechanism that raises the disk also refuses to stay up after ejecting. It wants to slide back onto the reader immediately after it finishes rising. Help!

HI,
is there any particular reason that apple doesn't want these two situation happen?
I mean,
Any reason they might not want OS X run on all PCs, and any reason they might not want XP run on apple hardwares?

arn't they the same company who kept showing a rendered picture of something resembling a 1950's style mike and a radiator, constantly promising a 1Ghz G4 when all apple could offer was 500Mhz and then they released some half arsed overclocking device that was no more than a few jumpers and an instruction book or something ?
Seems funny they would make a typo like that :D

Parallels and Virtualbox can both also do this, but VMWare has better documentation.

If you're downloading several items but want one first (and it's not the active download) you can manually pause all downloads and force resume the one you want. Do this from the XMB.

I get electric shocks from my Powerbook G4 15" all the time - however, you may find that it only happens when its plugged in to the mains power for recharging. Check your plug to make sure its earthed, if its not, try an earthed plug and see if it makes a difference. Hope this helps:) .

Did it already. When I log out and go to the US store I can see Ping normally. However when I log in and get directed back to my store it gives a connection error and disappears. So much for Steve's "Ping will be available for those 160 million users" and blah blah blah
I think it's only available to US accounts, not users in the US.

Spot Varnish or the usual abbrevation: Spot UV. Love them in the right place.
Super glossy. Often run over a matt laminate to heighten contrast between different textures. Usually set up as a different channel within the same artwork, either as vector (often type) or bitmap.
Allow a little extra time for the printers to do it.

Will this work for me? My OLD iPod has like 1000 songs but the iTunes library was wiped like 5 years ago.
It should and the demo version allows you to transfer 1000 songs. You won't even have to purchase it.

Firstly...Did you use bootcamp Assistant to create a separate Partition?
secondly...Did you make a backup of your Mac OS?
If you haven't make a backup, then you are at risk of losing data for the mistakes you have made during the Windows installation, especially if you accidentally wipe out your Mac OS partition, which you would lost everything.
You might holding down the alt key during startup to see whether you boot into your Mac OS startup disk, otherwise you have to reinstall Mac OS X.

There is no jailbreakme for 4.2.1 and there may never be another jailbreakme. I know comex said there maybe, but he's only human and humans are sometimes wrong.
