TuneYard (http://tuneyard.com)
It would be great if you all could support the site by uploading your GarageBand tunes. Still working out minor bugs, but it's functional at least .

Are there any other options besides a $99 software? That's a little pricey for my budget.
Not that I know of ... good comes at a price.

Who says there's definitely a refresh coming in June? That's still a rumor, right? But if you're asking the question, that means you probably don't need the computer now and can wait. There'll always be something better around the corner, though, so you can be waiting for a long time.

Don't think so I've bought Apple merchandise at NMSU, no has ever asked me for an ID or any other proof of being student/faculty/staff. However, I am a student, so maybe they're just used to seeing my face.
Look at it this way, the worst they can tell you is "no." Personally, I doubt that will happen.
I think for the release events the bookstore will want a student ID since the price is a promotional one until the end of the month (actually you have to preorder to get the $89 price tag if you don't buy a copy tonight). I think they required my ID when I bought Tiger from them.

i've had some issues with my macbook charging etc.
so far apple have:
-replaced my screen (issue with screen surround dropping down)
-reconnected wireless wires from screen (were not properly connected when screen replaced)
-replaced charger (first power issue solution)
-replaced the battery (still did not solve charging issue)
-agreed to replace logic board & magsafe board next week.
thats 6 trips to the applestore in total to get a properly working macbook!!!
should i just ask for a new macbook? I'm really not convinced of this ones reliability now. Do you think they owe me that much at least?

well what you should do is Set it up first just with 1000 base/t I think that should be plenty. In almost all cases you don't even use a full 1000 base/t line, as the hard drives are your limitation. So set it up with 1000 base/t then you can take a look at activity monitor and see if your getting close to maxing out a connection.

People it just a header file. It does nothing in regards to behaviour. Perhaps on app-by-app basis you could patch NSWindow with a category. But if you wanted to change the behaviour of NSWindow system-wide you'd need to patch the library inside Cocoa.framework.

I've been trying to import the address book from Earthlink Webmail. I exports as AddressBook.csv, but I cannot import this into Eudora (I've tried dragging it into the nicknames folder). Can anyone help with this? Thanks

You can bet that companies like OWC will find a way to use this space for an SSD. Even easier would be to hook up an external SSD via Thunderbolt when it becomes available.
That's a good point about 3rd parties making things available. True about the external, but the option for internal would be nice.

Reminds me of a client who had this problem. Turned out he mixed up his PBs, and this ejection problem was happening to the PB that had a read-only DVD drive.
In other words, check out your System Profiler to confirm you can write DVDs.

Of late, I've been noticing that my PB seems to be struggling a bit with things of a graphic nature, for example: Marble Blast Gold used to run very smoothly, but now it is very choppy and unplayable. I have found the same thing with KoTOR, when I first started playing it it ran really well, but now it's virtually unplayable. Trying to just walk around is unbearable, I press to walk forwards, it freezes and then I end up somewhere I had not intended.
So I was just wondering if there was any way to test that my graph card is working or a way to better optimize it?
Thanks

The version comes with Mac Mini Server is most likely for that computer only.
Thank you for the information.

Get a MacBook Pro 15" with the Hi-Res Antiglare Display. Even though I prefer a glossy screen for causal use, my wife's 15" anti-glare MBP has more accurate color rendition than my glossy 13" MBP.

I believe you can put your Airport Express into bridge mode. Then wire it to the Netgear router. You can then configure the Airport Express with the same SSID and security credentials as your Netgear router.
Thanks for that, I'll get my mac nephew to have a look; he thinks I'm swearing at him when I used to ask him questions about my PC!
Generally, would it make everything better, and faster, if I simply ditched the Netgear router and bought another Airport Express?
